오페라 브라우저 11.10이 출시되고 어느덧 시간이 흘렀습니다. 이제, 오페라 소프트웨어는 오페라 브라우저의 새로운 프로젝트 코드네임인 소드피쉬를 시작합니다. 지난 프로젝트는 바라쿠다 였는데, 앞으로 계속 이렇게 하나씩 바꿀 생각인가 봅니다. 재미있겠네요. ^^ 제가 항상 오페라를 좋아하는 이유는, 바로 사소한 기능에서 빛을 볼 수 있다는 점인 만큼, 이번에도 큰 기능의 추가 보다는 사소하지만 조금 더 편리하게 되는, 그러한 브라우저가 탄생하였으면 좋겠습니다.
더불어 이제, 오페라 브라우저 11버전의 중간까지 왔군요. 과연 어떤 기능이 추가되는지는, 이제 오페라 데스크탑 팀에 달려있겠지요! 아래는 Sworfish의 개발을 시작하면서 오페라 데스크탑 팀의 블로그에 게시된 내용입니다. 어려운 영어는 없습니다. (그러나 해석도 없지요.v) 한번 읽어 보세요.
According to Wikipedia, the swordfish is a highly migratory, predatory fish characterized by a long, flat bill. Its streamlined physique allows it to cut through the water with great ease and agility. It mainly relies on its speed and agility in the water to catch its prey. Swordfish are also known for their powerful jumps, called breaching. The Next version of Opera, 11.50, is called Swordfish.
